The ARCS Celebrates the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement Day

On 8th May 2015, government authorities, Kabul delegates of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Head of ARCS’ Departments, Staff and Volunteers were the participants of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement Day celebration.
The ceremony was inaugurated by holly Quran recitation and country’s national anthem; thereafter, Mr. Mohammad Qasem Hashemzai read the President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’s supportive message.
Afterwards, the ARCS President (Mrs. Fatima Gailani) welcomed all the participants and lectured subject to the 8th May event.
“Afghan benevolent merchants are the most considerable source of relief items.” Said Mrs. Fatima Gailani, ARCS President. “In any ceremony, I proudly announce that Afghan merchants are the most reliable generous donors who solely donate for the sake of Allah.”
ARCS President said that “Every Where for Every One” is this year, 2016, slogan that indicates and determines providing services to affected and vulnerable population without any discrimination.
“Parliament members has approved ARCS statutes, so I appreciate their efforts.” Said ARCS President. “I request members of Senate to consider the importance and vitality of ARCS statutes for providing the most effective relief items.”
She said, “I expect the next ARCS President to continue my path that insures ARCS successive success. In addition, the new President has to be free from any kind of affiliations to insure impartiality, neutrality and independence of ARCS which lead the safety of our volunteers throughout Afghanistan.”
Subsequently, Kabul Delegates of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said, “Afghanistan government and authorities have to especially consider ARCS volunteers’ activities.”
She added, “I see a very dark future throughout the world due to expansion of war that lead the increase in the number of affected and vulnerable population.”
Then, the International Federation Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies spoke subject to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement Day.
In addition, religious scholar Dr. Fazlul Hadi Wazin illuminated donating relief items and volunteers’ importance and rules from Holly Quran point of view that was considerably encouraging.
Sayeda Mozhgan Mostafavi, deputy of ministry of Information and culture, said, “the ministry is ready to popularize ARCS goals and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement’s fundamental principles.”
Finally, ARCS announced its recommitment to provide relief items and render services to all affected and vulnerable population in line with the Movements fundamental principles.
